Volunteering with the volunteer fire department

If you are interested in volunteering with the volunteer fire department, you can first take part in so-called training evenings, which are offered by every fire department.

A certain technical skill set is an advantage for volunteering. Otherwise, the necessary skills are learned during basic training.

People between the ages of 18 and 67 are suitable for active service in the fire department. Girls and boys between the ages of 10 and 18 (varies depending on the federal state) can join the youth fire department.
